Buenos Aires, November 26 (NA) -- Meat industry workers have reached an agreement with employers for the period from November 2025 to February 2026. The agreement includes salary increases for all meat processing plants in the country, with a total increase exceeding 8%. According to a statement on social media by the Federation of Meat and Related Industry Workers' Unions of the Argentine Republic (FESITCARA), the agreement begins with a 2.5% salary increase for November and was ratified by the union's leader, Gabriel Vallejos. As per the agreement, obtained by the Argentine News Agency (NA), the salary increases for the mentioned four-month period are 2.5% for November, 2% for December, 1.8% for January, and 1.7% for February. The Meat Federation also agreed that workers will continue to receive a fixed sum of 20,000 pesos monthly as an attendance bonus for the December-January quarter. FESITCARA had previously signed a collective agreement in the second half of the year with increases of 1.9% in July, 1.9% in August, 1.9% in September, and 1% in October. The Federation highlighted the importance of achieving these salary increase rates, despite the limits set by the Ministry of Labor, which caps monthly wage increases at 1% for agreements reached by unions.
